About the event
The VDMA is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Cultural/Educational traditional Metis Heritage program this This is a 5-day program which will enhance your knowledge and traditional skills (through mind, body, and soul). Students of all ages will learn traditional Metis dance, culture, and some language all week long and then showcase what they have learnt at a banquet performance. Students will learn their culture and step by step dance teaching the student both young and old how to honour our ancestors. This course will be taught by Metis Bev.July 10 to July 15, 2023!
There will be three classes:
1. For drop in only from 1-2 pm;
2. 3-4 pm for all ages;
3. 5-6 pm for all ages 14 years and older.
